The itinerary of 4 Days trip from Marrakech to Merzouga
First day : Marrakech - High Atlas - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley
Pick up at the hotel/riad in Marrakech or at the airport. Start of the 4 days tour from Marrakech, where we will cross the Atlas Mountains and the pass of Tiz-in-Tichka (2260m) making several stops to enjoy the magnificent views that the way shows us, to rest and/or take photos. We will follow the road until we reach Ouarzazate.
After lunch, we will continue the trip to Skoura town, located in the heart of the valley of palm trees, an extensive and labyrinthine oasis, whose exuberant vegetation shelters precious secret kasbahs. You can also visit its kasbah. From here we will continue through the Dades Valley via roses valley, we will spend the night at a hotel or riad in Dades Gorges.
Second day : Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga desert
After breakfast, we will drive to Tineghir (where the spectacular Todra gorges are located) perched at 1,350 m above sea level and surrounded by a palm grove, we will have free time to walk and explore the area. We will continue to Erfoud (city of fossils) and after passing through Rissani.
We will arrive at Merzouga, in front of the Erg Chebbi dunes we will start an adventure into the dunes by riding the camels to explore the dunes and admire the beautiful sunset. once we get at the camp we will have dinner and enjoy the berber music around the campfire, it will be an amazing night under the desert stars.
Third day : Merzouga – Draa valley – Ouarzazate
In the morning we will wake up to enjoy the view of the sunrise and after breakfast at the camp, we will return to the village of Merzouga. Then we will go to Rissani, an old interesting traditional market, where nomads from the surrounding area come to sell their cattle and buy the goods they need.
If time permits, we can make some purchases in its market and taste its famous Berber pizza, and then take the road to Ouarzazate through the Draa Valley, one of the longest rivers in Morocco. Stops to contemplate the charming kasbahs and Berber villages of the Draa Valley until we reach Ouarzazate where we will spend the last night of our 4 days desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga.
Fourth day : Ouarzazate - Ait Ben haddou - Marrakech
In Ouarzazate, if you like cinema, you can visit its film studios, where many famous Hollywood films were shot. Then we will continue to visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (a World Heritage Site). Free time to wander the Kasbah and climb to its summit to contemplate the views. We will once again cross the High Atlas Mountains with their beautiful landscapes. We will arrive in Marrakesh in the afternoon.
